Standard deduction on medical expenses

If my mediclal deductions do not add up to taking the standard deduction, should I just delete my medical expenses?  How do I get my standard deduction?

HI, after you enter in all of your deductions, TurboTax will calculate for you which will benefit you the most, taking the standard deduction or itemizing. If you are going to be better off taking the standard deduction you will get a pop up telling you that and directing you to choose the standard deduction. You do not have to go back and delete everything.
