Where do I enter South Carolina withholding tax from a Federal Form 1099-R to the SC Form 1040? I saw where a W-2 information is available to enter withholding but not the withholding from a Form 1099-R. Does the State portion of the tax program need to be modified?
Thanks

There is a place on the Form 1099-R entry screen for state withholding amounts. When you enter it there, it will automatically be carried to the state return.
Scroll down the Form 1099-R screen until you see boxes 12 to 14. This is where you enter your state information. The withholding amount is entered in box 12, the state abbreviation and payer's ID in box 13, and the distribution amount in box 14.
If you are not finding those boxes on the screen, you should be sure you are entering information for Form 1099-R and not something else.
Use these steps to go to the Form 1099-R section:
Followed Annette's response which did not resolve my concern. Filed an amended SC return with the necessary forms and information. There appears to be a program fault where State withholding from a Federal Form 1099-R will not transfer to SC 1040 line 20. Summited required information as required by SC Amended Return. Please take the time to verify correct this concern. Thanks
I have run a test and the SC withholding carried just fine to the state return.
What version of the TurboTax software are you using? Online? Windows? Mac?
What are your entries on the 1099-R in box 1, and 7? Is the IRA box checked? Also what are the entries in boxes 12 through 14?
