Sold primary home 11/2017. 1099-S box 6: Buyer's part of real estate tax shows an amt. This was pro-rata of 2017 taxes I had already paid. What do I do with this info.

Sold primary home 11/2017. 1099-S box 6: Buyer's part of real estate tax shows an amt. This was pro-rata of 2017 taxes I had already paid. What do I do with this info.

You would need to subtract this amount from any property taxes you report as paid by you in 2017. You could only claim "Property Taxes Paid" as the amount you paid less what was refunded at closing.
