skip itemizing and take the standart deduction

I'm sure from last two years that TurboTax will recommend taking the standard deduction. Not seeing how I can bypass the deductions section and just go to completion??

Usually it will ask you questions about deductions,so take a few minutes, answer the questions, and humor the program. Be sure you review your return before filing.

Another thing to note....if you live in a state with an income tax.

Some states allow & use itemized deductions, even if the Federal uses Std Deduction. But virtually all of those deductions get transferred from the Federal entries. So it might end up being useful to enter them all anyhow.
