Sign off link is not active

The sign off link in the lower left hand corner is not active  Nevertheless, it appears that my data is saved when I close my browser.  Can I re4ly on the fact that I will not lose data if I do not sign off because the sign off link is inactive?

Yes.  Closing the browser and using Sign off accomplish the same thing.  When using the online editions your tax data entries are saved as they are entered.
