I am using Turbo tax 2024 to report my stock transactions. I am able to import 7000+ transactions from Fidelity. However, the schedule d processing reports following error:
"Schedule D: Line 16 does not include capital asset sales because you have exceeded the maximum number of
sales supported for individual reporting. Since you have more than 4000 sales, you will need to remove some of
the sales with additional requirements (for example, noncovered or wash sale transactions). They can be
replaced by entering a summary and attaching a statement to your return with the individual sale details."
My question is: since turbotax can import 10,000 stock transactions, why can't it process more than 4,000 transactions for schedule d? Is this a bug to be fixed?
