Sales Tax Deduction

For several years I have used the Sales Tax deduction because my state does not have a state income tax.  In previous years I was always able to add Sales Taxes paid on big ticket items when selecting the Easy Guide option.   This year, selecting the Easy guide method for Sales Taxes under Deductions and Credits, Turbo Tax walks me through a screen question or two but does not allow me an opportunity to enter my larger allowable expenditures like a car and a camper and home remodeling.  Is this a Premier omission that will be fixed with an update?

Make sure that your software is updated to the latest release.  Click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen.  Click on Check for Updates.

OK this is a bit wierd.  Yesterday before starting I checked for updates and got 6 minutes worth.   Today I checked again and there were no updates.   I tried again.  Here are the screens I get after clicking to update my sales tax section.

1. A Sales Tax and Income Tax screen that tells me I dont currently have enough deductions, I hit continue with Sales Tax
2. Next screen asks me How I want to enter your sales tax info.  Choices are Easyguide which I select or Enter all my Receipts
3. Next screen is Places You Lived. It carries my state and tax rate over from previous years and is correct so I always hit done.  Before it would then go to a screen that asked about child care and other expense and left the Sales Tax section.  This time I hit edit and after re-entering dates and tax rate it opened the Major Purchases screen - this is a glitch in TTs programing.
