Hey there,
I was wondering how come I did not get the second or first stimlus check, even though my parents did not claim me as a dependent on their 2019 taxes? My parents filed after their first one was sent out. However I should have gotten the 2nd one if i am correct.
I claimed the Tax Recovery Rebate, so I hope to get both of them. Is it due to them not filing their 2019 taxes until after april?
I turned of age in 2020.
Thank you.

Even if your parents did not actually claim you, if they could have claimed you, you would need to indicate that to the IRS. If one of the following qualifiers applies to you, then you can't claim to be independent in order to get the stimulus.
Qualifying Child
Relationship — the taxpayer’s child or stepchild (whether by blood or adoption), foster child, sibling or step-sibling, or a descendant of one of these.
Residence — has the same principal residence as the taxpayer for more than half the tax year. Exceptions apply, in certain cases, for children of divorced or separated parents, kidnapped children, temporary absences, and for children who were born or died during the year.
Age — must be under the age of 19 at the end of the tax year, or under the age of 24 if a full-time student for at least five months of the year, or be permanently and totally disabled at any time during the year.
Support — did not provide more than one-half of his/her own support for the year.
Qualifying Relative
You can claim a child, relative, friend, fiancé (etc.) as a dependent on your 2020 taxes as long as they meet all of the following requirements :
Hey there,
Thank you for your response.
My parents are unable to claim me due to my AGI and age.
The software gave me the credit, so should i edit it or will i be fine?
Thank you.
You will qualify for the credit and TurboTax will calculate the credit based on what you entered for your circumstances. There is no need to edit entries based on your facts.
