I saw the thread about getting additional 1099-misc and W2 as the result of a class action lawsuit. I also got a check which when I put it into Turbo Tax pop up box (did you get cash, personal check or credit card payments) drastically reduced my return even though I already entered the extra W2 and the 1099-misc. I'm thinking the check I received is not a "personal" check-but I'm not sure if I report it in this pop-up box-it doesn't feel right. Stranger still the paperwork that came with the check says that the IRS w2 is for 25% of the payment and the 1099-misc is for the other 75% of the payment. Crazymaking. Your help would be much appreciated!

You do not need to enter the check into TurboTax because the check is already accounted for on the W-2 and the 1099-MISC that you entered already. You can delete the amount that you entered in the pop-up box.
Please clarify if the check that you entered in TurboTax was included in the amounts reported on the W-2 and 1099-MISC that you received for the class action lawsuit.
The extra W2 is the $316.31
The 1099-misc is $948.93
and the check mailed from the settlement is at the bottom as YTD $1,171.45

Thank you so much!!
