Why no IRA dedcution?

My husband & I make less than $100k annually combined. Neither of us have a retirement plan at work. The W2s do not have Box 13 checked. Yet Turbo Tax insists we do not qualify for an IRA deduction. Why!!

An IRA is an individual retirement account.    Do you both work and have income?  Check that each W2 is assigned to the right spouse.  And the IRA is for the right person.
