I’ve completed my 2025 tax through TurboTax since I have a Credit Karma account as I was finishing TurboTax needed a valid drivers license ID. I do not have a drivers license. It is expired, but I do have a passport that is valid. Can I use that?

TurboTax requests a valid ID at checkout to help the IRS and state taxing authorities prevent against fraud when filing your tax return, but this step is not required.

If you do not have a valid driver's license, you can use a state ID or skip this section. 

For some states, not including this verification may delay the processing of your tax return.
