I am having the same issue.
Only the part of the registration fee that's based on the value of your vehicle is deductible for federal tax purposes
You misunderstand my question. I know that only the part of the registration fee that is based on the value of the vehicle is deductible. But on the page showing the 2021 and 2022 comparisons of Deductions, the registration fee that is tax deductible shows for 2021 and shows 0 for 2022.
If you are taking the Standard Deduction then you won't be able to take the vehicle registration. If you are taking itemized deductions, then the registration fee will show as part of your State and Local Tax deduction on Schedule A.
It will be embedded in the $10K allowed deduction on Sch A.
If your question is not related to Sch A, but to another Form then repost another question so we can assist.
