The review shows me a dependent care provider that I did not use. how can i delete this provider?

The entry seems to have been carried over from last year but I did not use them this year

Sometimes you have to go forward to go back. Go into the child care as far as you can, then delete, say no and select the back button, keep deleting and saying no until all the information is cleared out as you hit back, back, back until you reach the beginning of the child care.

Double check to see if you still have a form 2441 for child care and if it needs to be deleted.

 Desktop: If you are working in the cd/download TurboTax program:

1. On the top right, there is a FORMS button. 
2. Click on FORMS.
3. Locate the form you want to delete.
4. Click on the form name.
5. Below the form, bottom left, select DELETE FORM button.

I don't want to delete ALL of the Childcare info, just the entry for a provider that was carried over from the previous year that was not used for 2024.

I can't get back to a screen that shows the list of providers at all.

I just see the screen with both my children listed an amount and the option to Edit or Delete.

Clicking edit for the cild in question shows the 'Total Dependent Care Expenses Paid' and a 'Continue' button which takes me back to the previous screen.

How can I get to the list pf providers?

To delete the provider, go back to your return:

1. Select Deductions & Credits
2. Select Revisit next to Dependent Care Credit
3. Continue until you get to the list of your providers
4. You can select the trash can, next to the provider you want to delete

I do not get the options that you show....

I don't understand how you don't see a screen with the title of "Here's what you spent on care providers". After all, you are saying that one care provider that you don't want carried over from last year.

On the screen "Here's what you spent on care providers" that Leticia shows above, you have a table of care providers. You can click on delete to the right of a care provider to delete.

Please show us the screenshot of the screen that shows this care provider that you want to delete.

Strangely when I logged back in this evening, and went through the same screens as my earlier post it gave me the list of providers and I was able to delete the one I did not want.

To answer the previous question, earlier I was unable to see the provider list on the input page, but when I was running through the review prior to filing, it told me that there was a missing value for the Provider in question and showed me a scrollable image of the actual form. It would not accept zero for the missing value hence the reason I needed to delete the provider from the input screen.

All done now and filed!
