Married Filing Jointly, Mile deductions

Married filing jointly as of 2023 we are both self employed. I use the vehicle for my self employment job. The car loan is under his name but since we are married can I still deduct the mileage I use on taxes or not? Or do I just claim the expenses that I solely pay throughout the year on the car such as gas, oil changes, ect…. Just asking ahead so I can have an idea what to do next year.

Married Filing Jointly, Mile deductions

If you're self-employed, you can deduct vehicle expenses used for business purposes on a vehicle owned by you OR your spouse, either using the standard mileage rate method or the actual cost method.
