I pay the mortgage for the house my spouse and I live in, but we are not married and I am not on the loan. Do I need to include that in my tax filing? If so, how?

I pay the monthly mortgage payment directly to the bank from my account.

No, you do not need to include that on your tax return because you are not able to deduct any interest because your name is not on the loan.

You can only deduct mortgage interest if your name is on Form 1098.
