If you are trying to recreate your mileage for 2019, get our your business calendar and start making a log of where you went, why, and on what date.
Then find car maintenance receipts, inspection records, etc for your vehicle. This will help you figure out how many TOTAL miles (personal + business miles) you put on your vehicle.
With these two resources, hopefully, you can re-create a mileage log for 2019 and start keeping up with one for every trip going forward!
Here is the information you will need to support your mileage deduction:
IRS requires a mileage log. You can download an app, use a pre-printed one (sold at office supply stores, Amazon, etc) or make your own. It needs to have the following information:
Date of trip
Destination
Business Purpose of trip
Miles for trip
Odometer readings (before you begin the trip and at the end)
See this link for IRS Publication 463 : IRS Publication, Travel, Gift, and Car Expenses
Also, if you review IRS Publication linked here, you will find a sample of the log at the end of the publication. Business Use of Vehicles
