I need a state ID number for my Capital Asset Sales worksheet. I live in Ohio, but the property I sold is in NY. Where do I find this number?

To be more specific, this is for the Capital Gain (Loss) Adjustments Worksheet, part IV, Amounts That Will Be Reported on Forms Other Than Form 8949 

The state would be NY, but I can’t figure out where to get the State ID it’s asking for.

Try to enter NY to see if it is what is being asked. I cannot imagine anything else without any other specific information.
