I have a 1099-DIV from a foreign entity with a FEIN listed as 00-0000000. Turbo tax keeps telling me this is invalid. How do I fix this?

Did you try leaving it blank and continuing?  It's not required for Efiling.

If you're using TurboTax Online, clear your Cache and Cookies between attempts.

In my test return, I left it blank and didn't get a Smart Check error.  I did need to link it to Form 1116, since i reported a foreign dividend amount and a foreign tax amount.

I'm surprised you got an actual Form 1099-Div from a foreign payor.

I might be doing it wrong. I did not receive a 1099-INT or 1099-DIV, but I have been reporting the foreign interest/dividend by manually populating the 1099 form. Let me check into the Form 1116.
