Entering Tax Payments Made with 2021 1040-X (and Amended State 1040) in 2022 1040

I'm confused.

Last year I submitted my 2021 Federal and State taxes, making the same estimated tax error in each.  I corrected this via a 1040-X and Amended State, requiring me to adjust my remaining estimated taxes and also make a tax payment with both of the amended forms.  In the 2022  Federal and State 1040s, it's easy to see where to input the estimated taxes paid.  But where do I report the payments I included with the amended forms?  There doesn't appear to be a specific field for these tax payments, and the other options (extension, estimated, etc.) don't seem appropriate.

Below is where you enter other income taxes if you:

  • Made an extension payment
  • Applied last year's refund to this year's taxes
  • Made any other federal, state, or local payments in 2022.

In TurboTax

  1. Select Federal from the left side navigation,
  2. Select Deductions and Credits,
  3. On the Your tax breaks screen, scroll down to Estimates and Other Taxes Paid,
  4. Select Start/Revisit next to Income Taxes Paid,
  5. On the Income Taxes Paid screen, scroll down to Other Income Taxes Paid in 2022.
  6. Select Start/Revisit next toWithholding not already entered on a W-2 or 1099 and Balance due on your 2021 state taxes paid in 2022.

Thanks.  I'll give partial credit because I don't use TurboTax online, and the installed version does not have the left side navigation.  I found the "Withholding not already entered..." screen and was able to enter the information, and the location it was placed on the worksheet (using "show form" command) made sense.  Also, the "Balance due..." for the state confirmed what I had already done.
