If you participate in a Cobra plan through your old employer, you generally cannot deduct your Cobra premiums as self employed business premiums (on Schedule 1) as the plan is in the name of your old employers business. You can deduct them as itemized with any medical deductions on schedule A if in excess of 10% of your AGI.
