Good evening,
I am a 1099 employee of a company where I provide educational services. I work with residents who are getting their teaching license. Everything is online and I provide services to the residents with scoring their work and holding meetings.
Would this qualify me for the QBI?

As long as you just offer advice and you are not doing sales of educational services you should qualify for QBI, Most Schedule C filers, LLCs, partnerships, S corporations, estates, and trusts qualify. There are also some income limits you must meet. To see if you qualify:

I wasn't sure if it was considered wages. I am 1099ed by a company and I was confused on how that is looked upon. I don't do sales, but I am like an college advisor, who also grades work for their credential program.
Your income reported on Form 1099-NEC isn't wages. It's self-employed income and you're eligible for the QBI deduction.
