I see many are having their cash contribution entries rejected. My problem seems a bit different. from those I've reviewed. The majority of my contributions are as QCDs through my IRA. I also made $250 in contributions that were not from the IRA. I entered all contributions as donations to charity. This means that line 10a on 1040 is far in excess of $300. Error fix only allows a $300 entry for 10b, even though $250 is all I can legally deduct. .Will appreciate help.

Here is the workaround for that issue:
1. Click Deductions and Credits
2. Go through the screens until you come to Wrap Up Tax BreaksI
if the standard deduction is chosen you will see a screen that asks Any Charitable Contributions?
3. Make sure that $250 and then click Continue
4. Click Lets Keep Going
Now the $250 will appear on Line 10B
