Possible bug re: FHSA deduction carry over?

Using EasySteps, with the PC version of TT Standard, there appears to be a bug if the user enters $0 for the amount of FHSA contributions to be deducted in 2024. Details of my specific case:

- Carry over contribution from 2023: 8000

- Contribution made in 2024: 0

- Maximum that that can be deducted from income in 2024: 8000

In the EasySteps, the user is asked "If you wish to claim less than the maximum amount above, enter it here. The difference will be carried forward and available to be claimed next tax year."

If the user enters nothing, the software calculates things correctly.

If the user enters "0", or "0.00", the software behaves as if the user had entered nothing - this is wrong.

If the enters "0.01", or any non-zero positive number, the software calculates things correctly.

Possible bug re: FHSA deduction carry over?

I wish there was a way to talk to an actual person at Intuit to report such bugs. Or at lease an obvious way to report potential bugs without having to made a post in this discussion, hoping that someone from Intuit will 1) see it, and 2) take is seriously enough to test it out, and 3) fix it.

This bug, in theory could have cost a user $4000 (ish): If the user has little or no income in 2024, and deduct the 8000 in 2024, he gets nothing back; but assuming he earns, say $200K in 2025, and carries over that same 8000 deduction room to 2025, he would get a tax refund of $4000 for it.

All this to say, this is not a minor bug. Fix it, Intuit.
