Can I deduct expenses fo my wife, who has been diagnosed with dimentia?

I hired an in home care giver to allow me to go to work for 5 months, then my wife was placed in a memory care facility.  Are tose expenses deductible?

Please visit Deductions & Credits section, Medical Expenses.  The program will ask you for specific categories of medical expenses, as well as any additional medical expenses you paid that are not listed in the program.

Turbo Tax will then determine how much of the expenses are deductible.

The data entry in Turbo Tax: 

1. Federal Taxes

2. Deductions & Credits

3. Medical, select Medical Expenses
