Yes, I just spoke to a taxpayer who faced this same issue. It is very puzzling to be missing this screen because collecting contribution information from you is one of the major reasons for the HSA interview (Step-by-Step).

As I recall, the taxpayer did an "HSA Reset", process by which you remove all your HSA data (including some that you do not know that you have), so that you can start over. The "Let's enter [your name]'s HSA contributions screen will then appear to let you enter contributions that you made directly to your HSA custodian.

Just remove all HSA data as shown below.

HSA RESET

***Reset***

1. make a copy of your W-2(s) (if you don't have the paper copies)

2. delete your W-2(s) (use the garbage can icon next to the W-2(s) on the Income screen)

*** Desktop***

3. go to View (at the top), choose Forms, and select the desired form (1099-SA (if one), 8889-T, and 8889-S (if one)). Note the Delete Form button at the bottom of the screen.

*** Online ***

3. go to Tax Tools (on the left), and navigate to Tools->Delete a form

4. delete form(s) 1099-SA (if one), 8889-T, and 8889-S (if one)

5. go back and re-add your W-2(s), preferably adding them manually

6. go back and redo the entire HSA interview....

Thank you! Quick turnaround and this addressed the issue. I called customer support and the specialist had no clue, she said this screen has been removed from 2025 and it needs to come from W2 box 14, I said thank you and hung up coz I knew it's wrong information.

Personal contribution to HSA is missing

I just tried all of this through the turbo tax app and it didn’t work for me. The question asking me about my HSA contributions still isn’t populating.

OK, first, which TurboTax product are you using: Online, Desktop/Windows, or Desktop/Mac?

Second, are you seeing the screen "Select the health-related accounts you had in 2025"?

May I assume that you clicked on "Health Savings Account" for at least one taxpayer (if case you have a spouse)?

Third, are you seeing the screen asking about a 1099-SA (this reports distributions you made from your HSA)?

This may be 1 or more screens depending on your answers.

Fourth, after these screens, do you see "Let's enter [your name]'s HSA contributions".

Tell me your experience here.
