Our 20 year-old son filed his taxes before we did. He is a student living at home. When we used him as a dependent on our taxes, the IRS denied it because his social security number was the primary. We paid $50 for a Turbo Tax Expert to give us advice. They told us to wait 2 to 3 weeks for his Return to be processed. We waited a little over 3 weeks and were still denied. Any help would be appreciated.

Your son made a mistake very common among teenagers and students filing their own tax returns--and then you as parents are the ones who are inconvenienced. Your son's return has to be amended. You do not have to wait around for him to do that. You can either print, sign and mail your own tax return that claims him, or you can obtain an IP PIN for him and try to e-file again.
GET IP pin in order to e-file if your dependent’s SSN was claimed on another return

I suggest you mail your return.
Thank you very much for the quick reply!
Thank you, John!
