On my OR-40 form, for line 16 (itemized deductions) it shows 0, but when I go to my OR-A line 23 (which is where the number should be pulled from as I understand it), the number shown is over 20,000
With 0 for line 16, turbo tax gives me the standard deduction for state, but I believe I should be taking the itemized deduction. Can someone advise how I can change this # or if I am mistaken about how this should work?

If you are using the desktop version, then go into the Info Worksheet, Part V and take the checkmark off of the "Take the standard deduction even if less than itemized deductions". This will allow Oregon to use the itemized deductions and correct your issue. I will keep you informed of any further updates. Thank you.
If you are still getting an error, it would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2021" file that is experiencing this issue.
You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: Go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.
We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
There seems to be an issue that could be corrected in TurboTax Desktop, but not in TurboTax Online. We need to investigate further and it will take a bit of time. You have the option to switch to TurboTax Desktop if you would like.
How do I switch from TurboTax Online to TurboTax CD/Download?
To fix your Oregon return in TurboTax Desktop, please follow the steps below:
@LenaH Thanks for looking into this.
I have been using the desktop version, but I will try this fix and see what happens. Please let me know if there are any updates on a resolution.

That seemed to work - thanks @LenaH
