Not able to: Enter the Property tax paid in 2023

Why can I NOT use the "Enter the property tax you paid in 2023" dialog to enter taxes paid on y main home nor my additional property????

Which TurboTax program are you using?

The TurboTax online web-based editions?

Or the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions installed on your personal computer?  If the desktop editions, which operating system are you using, Windows or Mac?

Yes, you can edit the amount, but only in the first place you entered it. For most people that is in the mortgage interest section.

Check here to see if you can edit your property taxes:
 

1. Open your return.
2. Select Federal, then Deductions & Credits.
3. Scroll down to Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098), select Edit.
4. Select Edit to the right of your 1098-INT entry. 
5. Continue until you get to the screen titled, Let's get the details from your 1098.
6. You should be able to edit the amount under Property (real estate) taxes.
    

If you have business use of home, you may have entered your property taxes there instead, or in addition. If you can't edit the amount here, reply back and TurboTax can help you further.

For people using the Turbotax  program who imported their previous year tax info, you will have to doubleclick on the space to enter the value for your property tax. A window should popup when you doubleclick.
