No 1098 from Co-op - can't enter amounts

I live in a co-op. We received a letter with our deduction amounts, but not a proper 1098. How do I enter this in TurboTax when it requires information I don't have?

What deductions are you referring to? Real estate tax? Mortgage interest?

If it's real estate tax, you don't need a 1098. Enter it in the separate Property Taxes topic. On the 2022 Deductions & Credits summary screen, click the button for Property Taxes, right underneath Mortgage Interest. The only thing you have to enter is the amount.

If it's mortgage interest, mortgage interest that was not reported on a Form 1098 has to be entered on Schedule A line 8b. You didn't say what version of TurboTax you are using. If you are using the CD/Download TurboTax software, enter the interest in forms mode directly on Schedule A line 8b. Do not use the Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet. Note that if you enter it this way, TurboTax will not calculate any limits that might apply to the deduction. See "Part II. Limits on Home Mortgage Interest Deduction" beginning on page 9 of IRS Publication 936 to see if any limits apply to your deduction.

If you are using TurboTax Online there is no way to enter mortgage interest that is not reported on a 1098. The entry can only be made in forms mode, as described above. Forms mode is only available in the CD/Download TurboTax software, not in TurboTax Online.

I was using online - this is frustrating to have to download just to enter.
