New Jersey Military Veterans Property Tax Deduction: Form VSS

New Jersey provides a $250 property tax deduction for military veterans pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:4-8.10 et seq.; P.L.1963, c.171 as amended; N.J.A.C. 18:27-1.1 et seq.  Why doesn't Turbo Tax have the Form VSS in its system for NJ filers?

This is related to your property taxes, not your NJ personal income taxes. Per NJ: http://www.state.nj.us/treasury/taxation/otherptr.shtml

However, there is a Property Tax Deduction or Credit available within your NJ personal income tax return section of the TurboTax program.

TurboTax will calculate whether the deduction or credit has the greatest tax benefit to you. (Please see the attached photo)
