We have 2 sons, a 2 year old and the other was born in December of 2020 and we filed both on our taxes. I only received $300. When I called IRS, they were unsure of an answer. How do I receive the 600 a month?

If you believe the IRS incorrectly computed the advance payment you can update your information on the IRS portal site. However, the ability to make changes to your dependants and other information won't be available until later this summer.

To the extent IRS paid you less than the credit you may be due the difference will be computed on your tax return next year and you will receive it as a refund or reduction in your tax due.
