Mortgage Interest

My 75 year old mother is on Social Security & doesn't file. She mortgaged her home last year to pay off some debt and make some improvements. Her name alone is on both the title and the loan. However, I make all of the payments from my accounts. Is there any way that I can claim the interest and property tax payments or not? Thank you in advance.

you can't claim it unless your name is on the mortgage; in effect you are simply gifting money to your mother by making the payments each month.
