I receives a 2019 Form 1098 for rental property I sold in 2018.  How do I deduct it?

If you paid mortgage interest during 2019 on the property, you may be able to deduct it as an additional itemized deduction (mortgage interest)

Here is a link with more details:  Deductible Mortgage Interest

If you did not actually pay mortgage interest in 2019 on the property, and the1098 is in error, you cannot take the deduction.
