Mortgage Credit Certificate

The MCC rate is listed on the Credit certificate.  Where do I pull the mortgage interest amount from?  Is that the amount listed on the 1098?  The only amounts listed on the MCC are the indebtedness and acquisition cost of the residence.

Mortgage Credit Certificate

Yes, the amount of mortgage interest will be listed in box 1 of the 1098 from your mortgage lender.
