Hello, I'm using turbo tax 2022. I am a military reservist. I purchased uniforms in 2022. I'm not seeing where I can take this deduction. Thanks

Your uniform allowance is excludible from gross income, but uniforms expense is no longer deductible on your Federal return. Some states still allow work-related expenses as an itemized deduction.
If you're a member of the National Guard or military reserve, you may be able to claim a deduction for unreimbursed travel expenses paid in connection with the performance of services as a reservist that reduces your adjusted gross income. This travel must be overnight and more than 100 miles from your home. To claim this special allowance:
Note: All other expenses, not related to your reserve duties, are entered as "regular" job-related expenses.
See this article for more information from TurboTax on military expenses.
See the IRS Military Guide for more information about deductible expenses.
Okay, Thanks. Looks like that's no longer a deductible item.
