How can I write off mileage in Nevada. I tried last year but it didn’t seem to effect how much I owed at all. Employed by a company that does not cover any driving expenses and all we do is drive for work.

If you are an employee of the company and receive a W-2, then employee business expenses are no longer deductible on a federal tax return, including mileage, due to the tax code changes for tax years 2018 thru 2025.

Since Nevada does not have a personal income tax, there is not a state deduction for employee business expenses.

But if the company treats you as an independent contractor instead of an employee (you receive a 1099-MISC at year's end and not a W-2), then you'll be able to deduct your allowable business vehicle expenses on Schedule C of your tax return.
