Math error on state return

For quaterly reporting on from M15 of underpayment, line 22 is the sum of columns A through D of line 21. Line 21 on my form is $8.43, $6.43, $3.21, $0 but line 22 is $17 rather than $18. Clearly, Turbotax is rounding values befor adding them but the state rejects this via it's auto checker.

PS, I called the help line and was told by a very rude customer service person that there would be a $300 technician charge for them to fix this. I now have to fill out the forms myself and submit. Likely done using Turbotax.

If the rounding issue is causing a problem, you can add 10 cents to the first column for the correct $18 to appear.

Another option, you can go ahead and round all of the numbers but add $1 to the first number.

FYI - What ever help line you called was surely a scam number.  Turbo Tax doesn't charge anything.  Don't call phone numbers you find on the internet.  There is only one way to contact support.

I use online and am not aware of a way to manually edit.

The option to edit manually is not available on the online version.  It is available on the desktop version/CD:

To edit in TurboTax Download Version:

1. Switch to Forms Mode if you're in the Step-by Step interview: Windows | Mac
2. Right-click the line item value you want to override and select Override (Windows) or choose Override from the Edit menu (Mac)
3. Enter the value; it should turn red, indicating an override
4. Switch back to the interview by selecting Step-by-Step from the menu

To undo the override, follow the same directions except choose Cancel Override in Step 2 (Windows) or uncheck Override in the Edit menu (Mac).

When you run the final review, TurboTax will alert you of any overrides in your return.
