Hi Tax experts,

This is my first time filing a tax return and it is quite challenging from abroad. I live and work in a foreign country. I am a US citizen. My employer is also a foreign company. I make money in Turkey and pay the rent and my living expenses also in Turkey. The paystubs are different here and we don't have W2 forms. My employer only can provide payroll and this does not contain any employer number. But this payroll is approved by the Turkish Government.  To be able to fill the tax return should I write my income as the non us dollars form (in Turkish liras as I have been paid)

No. To report your income on a US return, you need to report in US dollars (USD). You will need to convert the Turkish lires to USD.  Use this Currency converter to convert your Turkish lira to USD.
