Do you have employee business expenses on your return? Those are not deductible on your federal return, so unless they are there for state reasons, you can delete Form 2106 from your return. Line 16b is referencing mileage, so if you are claiming mileage on your state return, you will need to return to the Job-Related expenses section in the deductions and credits area to edit Form 2106. See the link above.

Thank you. I do have them on my federal forms for state tax reasons. For some reason, the only way that I can get the error to go away is if I manually type in the same amount from 16a into line 16b from the form screen. However, I don't think that is correct because it says "If there is more than one home office for this business...." And in this particular case, I am filing NO home office. I pick "no" when prompted, but it is generating a "Employee Home Office Worksheet" anyway.
For 2106 part II is for Vehicle expenses. Line 16 is for the commuting miles, (a) vehicle 1 and (b) vehicle 2.
You need to revisit the Job related expenses section:
I had this same problem except I was filing the home expense. I paid for the 'Max' package upgrade to talk to live support and all they did was leave the box in the prompt blank but put '0.' in the nested form field. I feel ripped off ~ $60 from my return.
