why did the process automatically pick the standard instead of itemized deduction without showing me the difference between the two?

TurboTax will automatically select the type of deduction that brings you the most tax benefit based off of your entries within the program.
You can view your Scheule A: Itemized Deductions by taking the following steps:
1.) In the upper right-hand corner, click Forms
2.) On the left-hand side, click Open Form
3.) Type Schedule A into the search bar
You can also view your Form 1040 while in Forms mode by finding it on the listed menu. Your deduction amount will be listed on Line 8.
If you'd like to switch over to Itemized Deductions from the Standard Deduction, you can do so by taking the following steps:
If you go to Deductions & Credits in the Step-by-step mode, click I'll choose what I work on, and then scroll down to click Done with Deductions.
You will have to click through a few screens, such as the summary screen for your deductions and credits.
The Standard/Itemized deduction screen should come up soon after, along with a small box to check if you'd like to change your deduction from standard to itemized.
You can switch back to the Standard Deduction at any time by taking these same steps, should you change your mind.

Home mortgage interest is transferring 0 dollars to the Schedule A even though an amount has been entered in the deduction’s section. This is making the program choose the standard deduction. Taxes and other expenses transfer to schedule A okay.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act placed additional restrictions upon the mortgage interest deduction.
As a result, there are several questions and screens that you have to go through to qualify for the mortgage interest deduction.
I’m wondering whether one or more of these questions have not been answered correctly? Perhaps the question about the mortgage being secured by the property?

I filed through the IRS site which led me to Turbo Tax, Intuit. I need to get a copy of my schedule A as they went the standard deduction, both were the same refund, however I need the schedule A for the county I live in. When you sign in to your TurboTax account there is no place on the right that has the drop down for forms. When you search it takes you to another site altogether. How do I get this schedule A?
Thanks
