Last year, I took a temporary job (paid as a W-2 employee) at a summer camp for one week. Can I deduct the expense of traveling to the camp? (in this case, flight and rental car because camp was remote and not accessible by public transportation/camp does not provide transportation for employees)
Thank you!

No, that type of deduction has been eliminated for W-2 employees.
Starting in 2018, employees (W-2 recipients) are no longer able to deduct any job expenses.
But, even in the old days, what you describe (traveling for a new job) would not have qualified for a deduction.
Furthermore, even in the "old days" , job expenses were only a misc. itemized deduction. You only got to deduct that portion of your misc. itemized deductions that exceeded 2% of your AGI, and then only if your total itemized deductions exceeded the standard deduction (which was doubled under the 2018 tax law. . (2% rule explained: https://ttlc.intuit.com/questions/2902781-what-is-the-2-rule ).
