Is Field technician mileage driven in personal vehicle a deduction? I am filing short form.

I've included mileage on Form 2016, but my taxes due do not change regardless if I delete this form or not.

Form 2106 will not produce any additional refund this year.  Unless you are a Guardsmen, Reservist, or this is a Medical work expense, unreimbursed employee job expenses are no longer deductible on the Federal Return.  They may be deductible on the state return if your state did not adopt the law changes brought on by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.
