My husband and I are both federal retirees and we both have our own health insurance, why does turbotax only acknowledge or even ask for one amount? When doing our taxes, married filing jointly, I am only asked how much of the employee contributions were for health insurance when entering my husbands 1099-R.

Does his 1099R have an amount in box 5 and you don’t?
both box 5 have an amount
Please share which version of TurboTax you are using to prepare your return - TurboTax Online, TurboTax Desktop; Windows or Mac; Home and Business, Premier, etc.
Another user reported a similar situation and it appeared to be resolved, but there may be further investigation that is needed before a report can be made with the development team.
To take a closer look at the situation, it would be very helpful to have a diagnostic copy of your tax file. The diagnostic file will not contain personally identifiable information, only numbers related to your tax forms.
If you would like to provide us with the diagnostic file, follow the instructions below and post the token number in a follow-up thread. It would be useful to see a screenshot of the token number to prevent it from being redacted.

If you are using a CD/downloaded version of TurboTax, use these steps:
I have the downloaded version Deluxe

Any updates AnnetteB6?
After taking another a look at your token file and focusing on the 1099-R forms with a number in box 5, I noticed that the taxpayer 1099-R is marked as a CSA 1099-R, but the spouse 1099-R is not. Please clarify if they are both the same type of form or if only one CSA 1099-R.
Only 1 is CSA 1099-R
To clarify, which 1099R asked for the health insurance, the CSA, or the other?
After rechecking both should have been CSA 1099-R. After correcting, both asked for the health insurance. Thanks
