I don't see the option in Home Energy Credits to enter a new AC/Heat system. I had the entire thing replaced in 2016 but see only options for other items, not AC/Heat.

There are other types of improvements (windows, solar, etc. but no AC/Heat system.

If the AC/Heat system meets the requirements set forth for the credit, you will enter it using the following instructions:

 To enter the information for the credit in TurboTax you will do the following:

• Log in to your TurboTax Online account, or open your return in TurboTax CD/Download
• Click to Continue your return/Take me to my return
• Click on Federal Taxes
• Click on Deductions & Credits
• Click on "Check for more tax breaks"
• Click on "Skip to all tax breaks"
• Find the section titled Your Home, click to Show More
• Find Home Energy Credits and click to Start or Edit/Revisit
• Enter the information for your qualified electric heat pump in the box titled, "Energy-Efficient Building Property" if you click the Learn More link beside of it, you will see that it includes the electric heat pump there.
