If I was divorced in 2018 and signed over the property do I have to repay Homebuyer credit?

I was divorced back in 2018. I did not file taxes in 2018 because I did not I had to. I used to own a home from 2008 to 2018 and filed taxes jointly with my ex-husband. When we got divorced I signed-over the house to him. I am finding out that I have to pay for First Time Homebuyer Credit and fill out Form 5405. My name has been cleared out of that property since 4/30/2018. When I was asked on these taxes 2019 if I owned a home I said no. Do I have to do anything different?

The form 5405 would have been on the 2018 return since you were released from the property in 2018 ... you do NOT put this on the 2019 return.

Since you did not file a 2018 return you CAN  mail in the form 5405 now attached to a form 1040.  Get the forms from the IRS  ...   https://www.irs.gov/forms-instructions

Thanks for your prompt reply.  Do I send it in 2019 taxes? or I have to send in a separate 1040 form for 2018?
