If I kept a milage log for the year of 2016 but only documented business miles and not personal miles is this ok?

If I kept a milage log for the year of 2016 but only documented business miles and not personal miles is this ok?

If you are deducting the standard mileage rate, business miles alone will be okay. 

However, if you are deducting actual expenses, you need to business mileage and you need a total mileage figure (tracked best by taking an odometer reading every 12/31). The deduction of actual business expenses require both business and total miles to calculate a business use percentage (Business Miles/Total Miles = Business Use Percent)
