Idaho changes

I'd called T.Tax  about a week ago. The gentleman I spoke to said that the conformity changes had been completed in T.Tax.

When I went to do my Idaho taxes today, the 2nd screen that came up "New Idaho Tax Law Changes" seems to indicate that is not so.  Any idea as to when they will be?

Failing that, expect I can go in and manually overwrite the amounts shown in T. Tax that don't reflect the changes following the guidelines provided by the Idaho State Tax Commission for those who file manually using pen and paper to achieve the correct result?

Different question- I do the taxes, so Intuit has my name, e-mail address, password and phone # to text code to.   What happens if I die, and my wife needs to take over. How does she access prior years tax returns & establish her credentials?

For your spouse...make sure she has all your login information & passwords.   For the year you exit this life, she can use that account to file a final MFJ tax return for the both of you, and access the existing prior year forms....... Even so, after that year's prep...she will have to create separate account to start filing a Single tax return...because it's difficult to impossible to remove you from the old file.....make sure you sit down with her for a few years, showing how it is done...(or encourage her to visit a reliable local tax preparer if you think she will be unable to deal with it all).

As to the ID recent OBBB compliance passing...Idaho Has just released their final forms  (13 March)....it can then take TTX and the other software folks time to modify their software, perhaps taking 2 to 4 more weeks after ID specifies their changes.   (It took Idaho 4 weeks to figure out their changes)

So, come back and ask around 28 March to see what the situation is.  By then, even if not ready yet, the TTX folks may have published an update (They haven't so far....they may not even know the full scope of what they have to change yet since the new ID forms have just been posted at the state level...implementing the software changes may not be simple.)
