I would suggest using TurboTax Deluxe, this version will allow you to deduct your home office expenses as they realte to your employment. However, the term "on the side" I'm not sure if you are referring to a side business that does not relate to your job. If that is the case, then in order to deduct expenses relating to business income (self employment/side business) then you will need the TurboTax Self-Employed.
