I work from home 92% of the time and 8% in the office and only receive a 1099-MISC. Form 2106 line 11 is asking me to fill in "total wages from this business."

I was told that I don't earn wages hence no W-2. So do I enter my income in this box?

You would only enter info in Form 2106 if you're deducting job-related expenses for a W-2 job.

Since you only received a 1099-MISC, TurboTax considers you self-employed (same as an independent contractor). So you can enter your business expenses on Schedule C or C-EZ, instead.

Here's how to enter self-employed/independent contractor expenses in TurboTax Self-Employed:

1. Open your return in TurboTax and enter "Schedule C" in the search bar on the top right side of your screen.

2. Select the "jump to" link. (This will take you to the Income & Expenses section, where we'll ask you questions about your self-employment/independent contractor work.)

3. Follow the prompts.
