You can enter your property taxes in a separate section from mortgage interest.  Please follow these steps:

  1. Click on Federal Taxes >  Deductions & Credits.  
  2. In the Your Home section, click on the Start/Revisit box next to Property (Real Estate) Taxes [See Screenshot #1, below.)
  3. On the screen, Did you pay property or real estate taxes in 2017, click the Yes box.
  4. Enter the property taxes you paid on the next screen.  [Screenshot #2]  Do NOT include any taxes you already entered with your mortgage information.
